Past Congressional leaders along with former top government officials gather to discuss their soon-to-be released report titled "The Executive Branch and National Energy Policy: Time for Renewal."
Former Sen. Byron Dorgan (D-ND), former Senate Majority Leader Trent Lott (R-MS), retired General James Jones, and former EPA Administrator William Reilly discuss bipartisan recommendations for the Obama Administration's energy policy-making plan. These detailed policy suggestions will be part of a report to be released in early 2013.
The panel discusses their experiences in the executive and legislative branches. They focused on the changing state of the American energy landscape and the opportunities it presents for the administration to make major changes in U.S. energy policy, and in doing so, address climate change and renewable energy.
The Bipartisan Policy Center's President Jason Grumet led a question and answer session with the audience following the panel discussion.
