The Center for American Progress and the National Council of La Raza hold a discussion on the housing crisis and how the 2012 presidential candidates plan to address it.
Housing experts and civil rights advocates discuss the future of the housing market from rising foreclosures, unequal opportunity, to housing credit. Former Obama Administration Assistant Housing Secretary David Stevens expressed his concern about access to affordable housing tax credits. Additionally, National Council of La Raza’s Wealth-Building Policy Director Janis Bowdler stated the “topic of housing has been ignored on the campaign trail.”
The Center for American Progress hosted this event.
