C-SPAN’s Local Content Vehicles take American History TV on the road. Throughout the weekend of June 1-3 we feature the history of Palm Springs, California.
Hosted by our Time Warner cable partners, we learned about the political career of Sonny Bono, the Agua Caliente Band of Cahuilla Indians and discrimination against Native Americans. We visited Sunnylands the Annenberg Estate, the Palm Springs Historical Society, the Gen. George S. Patton Museum and WWII Training Center, and the Betty Ford Center.
