C-SPAN’s Local Content Vehicles take American History TV on the road. Throughout the weekend of June 15-17 we feature the history of Raleigh, North Carolina.
Hosted by our Time Warner cable partners, we visited the North Carolina Archives, the state Capitol, and the Joel Lane Museum House built in 1769. We learned about the "Research Triangle," historically black Shaw University, the life of Anna Julia Cooper, and the David Marshall "Carbine" Williams exhibit at the North Carolina Museum of History. We also interviewed North Carolina Governor Pat McCrory about the state's political history.
