Former Drug Czar General Barry McCafferty testified on Capitol Hill on a report he produced with Retired Army Maj. General Robert Scales about the state of U.S. border security.

The report released last month contends that there has been an increase in narco-terrorism in Mexico and that it’s been poorly monitored and handled by federal authorities.  Democrats questioned the report’s portrayal of areas in Texas like El Paso as a “warzone,” but agreed with the reports’ call for more border security funding.
