House Oversight Cmte. Assesses Mission Transition in Iraq

The House Oversight Committee held a hearing to assess the transition of control in Iraq from a military to a civilian-led mission.

The State Department has been taking control of the mission since the last U.S. combat troops left in 2011.

Witnesses include the Acting State Department Inspector General Harold Geisel, as well as Stuart Bowen, the congressionally-appointed Special Inspector General for Iraq Reconstruction.
