The Brennan Center hosted a discussion on privacy and cybersecurity, featuring Danny Julian Boggs, judge on the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit; and David Lieber, privacy policy counsel at Google, among others.
The discussion focused on privacy and surveillance in an era when more and more people are conducting transactions and communications entirely online.
Laura Murphy, director of the Washington Legislative Office at the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU); and Kenneth Wainstein, former Homeland Security Adviser and former Assistant Attorney General for National Security, also participated in the discussion.
