In 1859, Abraham Lincoln was invited to
deliver a speech at Cooper Union in New York City.
Lincoln’s “right makes might” speech became a turning point
in his political career. The Cooper Union commemorated his
historic speech on the same day and same spot in which he
delivered his address.
