U.S. Postmaster General and Postal Service CEO Patrick Donahoe announced Wednesday that the Postal Service will end Saturday deliveries in August. The Postal Service expects the change to save around $2 billion per year. During its last fiscal year, the organization ran almost $16 billion in the red, over $11 billion of which was due to funding future retiree health benefits and $2.4 billion was attributable to operating costs.
