Secretary of Defense Leon E. Panetta and Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Gen. Martin E. Dempsey briefed the media at the Pentagon.
Defense Secretary Leon Panetta said that he suspects more insider attacks will happen in Afghanistan, but stressed that the U.S. along with Afghanistan and coalition partners are taking necessary measures to prevent them.
Secretary Panetta and Chairman Dempsey also discussed a wide range of issues, including: the transition progress in Afghaistan, the attack at the U.S. consulate in Libya, sequestration and violence in Syria.
