President's Plan for AIDS Relief Released

Secretary of State Hillary Clinton released the President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR) Blueprint, entitled Creating an AIDS-free Generation.

PEPFAR outlines a plan for how the U.S. government will work to help achieve an AIDS-free generation.

After releasing the report, Secretary Clinton spoke to an audience of top agency officials and advocates along with U.S. Global AIDS Coordinator Ambassador Eric Goosby, UNAIDS Executive Director Michel Sidibe, Chairperson of the African Union Commission Dr. Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma and Ambassador for the Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation Florence Ngobeni-Allen.

The event also commemorates World AIDS Day 2012 which takes place on December 1st.

Windsor, “ a challenge to “ DOMA”, the 1996 Defense of Marriage act, which defines marriage for all federal purposes as the union of one man and one woman. The Court will release the audio on the same days as the arguments—and you’ll hear them as soon as they become available on C-SPAN Radio.
