The National Prayer Breakfast

Co-Chairs Sen. Mark Pryor (D-AR) and Sen. Jeff Sessions (R-AL) hosted the national prayer breakfast, an annual event that features congressional and administration officials along with other notable Americans.

This year, Sen. Chuck Schumer (D-NY), Rep. Louis Gohmert (R-TX) and Rep. Janice Hahn (D-CA) were joined by Chief of Naval Operations Admiral Jonathan Greenert, Former U.S. Senator Elizabeth Dole (R-NC) and outgoing Secretary of the Interior Ken Salazar.

Dr. Benjamin Carson, director of Pediatric Neurosurgery at The Johns Hopkins Medical Institutions delivered a message. Then, singer Andrea Bocelli offered the closing song and Olympic gold medalist and gymnast Gabbi Douglas provides the closing prayer.
