General A.J. Smith's Guerrillas and the Battle of Nashville
Professor Steven Woodworth talked about Union General A.J. Smith’s guerrillas, a contingent of the Army of the Tennessee, and their involvement in the Battle of Nashville in December of 1864. The Battle of Nashville was one of the largest Union victories during the U.S. Civil War and signaled the end of major conflict in the Western Theater of the the war.640 views
