    2018 Health Plan Tax

    Julie Appleby talked about the Affordable Care Act’s “Cadillac” excise tax that goes into effect in 2018. The 40 percent tax is levied on any job-based health insurance plan that costs over $10,200 per year for an individual worker or $27,500 for a family plan. Ms. Appleby’s Kaiser Family Foundation put out a report on how the tax will affect employers and employees.
