    1934 Textile Strikes

    History professors Mark Nelson and Thomas Terrill, and journalist Frank Beacham talked about the 1934 textile strikes, the largest single industry strike in American history. The strikes lasted 22 days. On September 1st, 1934 tens of thousands of textile workers began the largest single-industry labor strike in American history. The strike resulted in many workers being blacklisted and some dying in violent clashes.
