    Soccer Corruption Indictments

    Attorney General Loretta Lynch made a statement on the Justice Department’s 47-count indictment against 14 soccer officials and sports executives, including nine FIFA (International Federation of Association Football) officials, over allegations of corruption, bribery, money laundering, and fraud. She began the investigation as the U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of New York and was joined by her successor, FBI Director Comey, and IRS Chief of Criminal Investigation Weber. They responded to questions from reporters. 
    Attorney General Lynch began her remarks with a call on the Senate to pass the USA FREEDOM Act.

    Hillary Clinton in Columbia, South Carolina

    Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton made her first visit to South Carolina for her 2016 campaign. She highlighted her goals for achieving equal pay for women and talked about broadening the middle class and being a champion for working class Americans.

    This speech at the Columbia Marriott Hotel was the keynote address at the South Carolina House Democratic Women’s Caucus and the South Carolina Democratic Women’s Council’s Third Annual Day in Blue.
