    Hospital Bombing in Afghanistan

    The Pentagon released the results of its internal investigation into the October U.S. bombing of a Doctors Without Borders hospital in Kunduz, Afghanistan which killed at least 31 civilians and injured 28 others. The report finds that the military strike was a direct result of human error and U.S. military misidentified the medical facility believing it was compound occupied by the Taliban. Gen. John Campbell briefed Pentagon reporters from Afghanistan saying the U.S. personnel most closely associated with the incident have been suspended from their duties. In addition, Afghanistan Operations Deputy Chief of Staff for Communications Brig. Gen. Wilson Shoffner answered reporter questions.
