    Senate CIA Interrogation Report

    John McLaughlin talked about the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence’s report on the CIA’s enhanced interrogation techniques used in the years following the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001. Mr. McLaughlin served as CIA deputy director from 2000-2004 and acting director of the agency in 2004. Among other topics he discussed why he believes those techniques were justified. He also discussed the exchange of prisoners between the U.S. and Cuba related to President Obama’s previous day announcement that the U.S. would normalize relations with Cuba, and Sony Pictures' decision to not release the movie The Interview following a hacking threat linked to North Korea.
