Identities of Gitmo Detainees Case
Saturday
In the U.S. Department of Defense v. the Associated Press, the Second Circuit Court of Appeals in New York must decide if the Pentagon has to release the identities of Guantanamo Bay detainees. The case stems from a 2007 FOIA lawsuit filed by the AP. The government turned over transcripts from the tribunals but redacted facts about each detainee's identity.
