You'll hear live coverage from Washington of important congressional hearings, key speeches from national leaders, along with archival recordings of presidential tapes, military memoirs & judicial proceedings from contemporary times and before the advent of television.

C-SPAN Radio Availability
C-SPAN Radio is available in the Washington/Baltimore metropolitan area at 90.1 on the FM dial. Area residents can listen to C-SPAN Radio in their homes 24-hours a day, and commuters can listen to "Washington Journal" and "Today in Washington" in the morning and afternoon drive-times respectively.

C-SPAN Radio is also available on XM Satellite Radio channel 132.

C-SPAN Radio and audio simulcasts of the C-SPAN TV networks are available on Reciva-based Internet Radios as follows:
  • To listen to C-SPAN Radio and audio simulcasts of the C-SPAN TV networks on your Internet radio, select Radio Stations, Genre, Discussion or Talk, and scroll to C-SPAN Radio, C-SPAN TV Audio and C-SPAN3 TV Audio.
  • To listen to C-SPAN HD Radio on your Internet radio, select Radio Stations, Location, Americas, USA (filtered), USA W's, and scroll to WCSP-HD2 and WCSP-HD3.

Listeners can stream C-SPAN Radio via their web browser by clicking on the "Listen to C-SPAN Radio" link near the top of this web page.

C-SPAN Radio is available on Apple iTunes by selecting Radio in the LIBRARY section, News / Talk Radio, and double-clicking on C-SPAN Radio.

Mobile and landline telephone subscribers can listen to C-SPAN Radio by dialing (202) 626-8888. Long distance or plan charges may apply, check with your telecoms provider.
HD Radio Multicasting
C-SPAN Radio 90.1 FM in the Washington/Baltimore area is now broadcasting using digital technology. This enables us to provide three channels of programming at 90.1 - it's called multicasting. If you have an HD radio you can hear:
  • 90.1 HD-1 - WCSP-FM Programming you have been hearing for 10 years, including a mix of Congressional hearings, Presidential speeches, Campaign 2008 coverage, House and Senate proceedings, the network Sunday Public Affairs programs and our unique history programs
  • 90.1 HD- 2 - Gavel-to-gavel coverage of the House of Representatives and other C-SPAN programming
  • 90.1 HD- 3 - Gavel-to-gavel coverage of the Senate and Book TV

  • Outside the Beltway presents C-SPAN Radio exclusive events featuring voices from outside of Washington providing perspectives on national issues. Outside the Beltway airs Sundays 10am - 12pm (ET).
  • American Political Archive features unique and often never before broadcast interviews and oral histories.
C-SPAN Radio Specials

  • LBJ White House Tapes: C-SPAN Radio offers a different collection of President Lyndon Johnson's White House phone conversations.
  • Nixon White House Phone Calls: During the summer of 2002, American Political Archive featured the Nixon White House Phone Calls, secretly recorded phone conversations from the Oval Office and other locations. The conversations C-SPAN presented occurred between 1971 and 1973. More may be released in the future.
