ABOUT THIS SITE

On October 27, 2008, U.S. Senator Sen. Ted Stevens (R-AK) was convicted on 7 counts of making false statements on his Senate disclosure forms. Stevens was found guilty of concealing more than $250,000 in gifts and services including improvements to his home in Alaska. The trial began on September 22 and was held in the E. Barrett Prettyman Federal Courthouse in Washington, DC. In April 2009, a federal judge agreed to the Justice Department's request to drop all charges against the Senator.

Q&A presented a two-part program looking back at the trial of Sen. Stevens. Our guests discussed the charges against the Senator, how they related to other Alaska corruption investigations and the system of check and balances that led to the case.

This website contains all of the interviews in their entirety as well as links to media coverage of the trial and information on the Senator's career.
