Clare Short, former International Development Secretary during PM Tony Blair's Administration told members of the Iraq Inquiry that she believed the former Attorney General and Tony Blair misled the cabinet over the legality of the war in Iraq. Short, who resigned eight weeks before the war began, gave testimony of her private conversations with Tony Blair on her concerns with prematurely entering the war. Ms. Short is author of the book, “An Honorable Deception? New Labour, Iraq and the Misuse of Power.”
