Fed Chairman Bernanke says Govt. needs to expand aid

Federal Reserve Chair Ben Bernanke told the Senate Budget Cmte. that economic recovery hinges on the government's ability to stabilize financial markets. He said that the government may need to expand financing to the banking system beyond the $700 billion already approved.
