Dear (Name of Government Official):
As part of our ongoing commitment to public affairs programming and public service, (name of system) is pleased to announce the launch of C-SPAN 3 as part of our digital package.
C-SPAN 3, airing on channel (x), is a twenty-four hour non-commercial digital service that offers more choice in public affairs television. Mondays through Fridays, from mornings through prime-time, C-SPAN 3 will televise key national events from Washington: congressional hearings, press conferences, the best in political seminars and conferences, and National Press Club speeches in the unique long-form style that is classic C-SPAN.
Late nights and weekends, C-SPAN 3 spotlights American history with features from award-winning original history series such as The Lincoln Douglas Debates, Traveling Tocqueville's America, American Presidents: Life Portraits and American Writers: A Journey Through History. Also look for contemporary history programs from the C-SPAN library including profiles of political leaders, museum tours and chronicles of congressional hearings.
We are proud that our support of the C-SPAN networks makes this additional choice in public affairs programming available to you. The C-SPAN networks were created by the cable television industry as a public service. C-SPAN provides LIVE, gavel-to-gavel coverage of the U.S. House of Representatives. C-SPAN 2 offers similar coverage of the U.S. Senate and every weekend Book TV programming devoted to nonfiction books. C-SPAN can be seen on channel (x), C-SPAN 2 on channel (x) and
C-SPAN 3 on (x).
(Name of system) and the C-SPAN networks are members of Cable in the Classroom, a non-profit educational service of the cable television industry that provides quality, commercial-free educational programming and support materials to educators.
Sincerely,
(System Contact Name, Title)
Created by Cable. Offered as a Public Service.
