C-SPAN 3 NOW AVAILABLE TO (Name of Cable System) CUSTOMERS
Third C-SPAN Network Offers Live Events and History Programs to the XXX-Area
(Name of city), (date) -- (Name of Cable System) announced today that it has launched C-SPAN 3 - the latest public affairs channel from C-SPAN-to (insert service area) digital cable customers.
C-SPAN 3 launched in January, 2001 and offers live coverage of current national events on weekdays and long-form history programming overnights and weekends. Like C-SPAN and C-SPAN 2, the channel is carried by cable television companies as a public service.
Among C-SPAN 3's offerings is a weekly series featuring the Lyndon Johnson White House Audio Tapes. Every Monday at 11pm ET (re-airing Thursdays and Saturdays at 11 pm ET), C-SPAN 3 will air two-hour segments of LBJ's telephone conversations from the Oval Office.
