Technical Details
The Bristol Pod uses a Motorola DigiCipher II uplink system. The multiplex is designed to support 256 QAM-modulated digital cable channels and conventional analog channels. With certain limitations, it can also be used for 64 QAM cable systems.
Because of the transmission parameters utilized, the only models of Digicipher II satellite receivers capable of decoding the Bristol Pod networks are:

· The single network DSR-4500X IRD
· The full multiplex DSR-4400MD (ASI input version only)

No other model of Digicipher II satellite receiver may be substituted. Satellite transmission originates from ESPN headquarters in Bristol, CT.
