American Artifacts: History of House Page - Sunday 6 & 10pm ET

House of Representatives historian Matthew Wasniewski and curator Farar Elliott use artifacts from their collections to tell the story of House Pages from the early 1800s up until the program ended in 2011. We look at art, yearbooks, and a uniform, and hear personal recollections from former pages.

Chief Justice John Roberts: Magna Carta Legacy - Sunday 9pm ET

U.S. Supreme Court Chief Justice John Roberts joins Igor Judge, the former Lord Chief Justice of England and Wales, to discuss the Magna Carta on its 800th anniversary - and the document's importance for the British and American judicial systems. They spoke at the Library of Congress, where a 1215 copy of the Magna Carta is on display.

1965 Immigration Act & the Western United States - Sunday 4:30pm ET

Historians from the Smithsonian Institution detail the history of immigration to the western U.S. since 1965. They examine how the 1965 Immigration Act, which abolished the national origins quota system, dramatically increased immigration from Asia and Africa, and consider how these new immigrants integrated into American society.

Taverns of Pre-Revolutionary New York City - Saturday 9pm ET

Brooklyn College professor and author Benjamin Carp discusses how taverns contributed to the politically charged climate in New York City. As central meeting places, taverns stimulated discussions about British policies and helped foster a patriotic spirit leading up to the Revolutionary War.
