"The End of the Civil War" - LIVE Saturday 8:45am - 4:30pm ET; Re-Airs 6pm ET

American History TV will be live from the University of Virginia in Charlottesville for an all-day conference on the end of the Civil War hosted by the Virginia Sesquicentennial of the American Civil War Commission. A few of the speakers and topics are:

· Harold Holzer and James McPherson on the Confederate Surrenders and Lincoln Assassination

· Edward Ayers and Caroline Janney on the "Lost Cause"

· John Neff and Joan Waugh on the Union Cause

· Barbara Gannon and Fitzhugh Brundage on African American memory of the Civil War

President Lincoln's Assassination: 150 Years Later - Sunday 8am & 10pm ET

Coverage of commemorative events marking the 150th anniversary of President Lincoln's assassination, including:

· The Newseum exhibit of New York Herald special editions published on April 14 and 15, 1865, which show how the news unfolded after the president was shot.

· The "Silent Witnesses" exhibit at Ford's Theatre & the National Museum of American History, featuring a collection of assassination artifacts.

· A tour of the Petersen House where President Lincoln died on April 15, 1865.

· First person accounts of the assassination from "living historians" in Civil War-era costumes on Tenth Street in front of Ford's Theatre.

· Interviews with James Swanson, author of Manhunt: The 12-Day Chase for Lincoln's Killer, and David Reynolds, editor of Lincoln's Selected Writings.

· A wreath-laying ceremony on the Petersen House steps at the exact moment of Lincoln's death 150 years later.

Reel America: Presidential Campaign Announcements - 1964 & 1972 - Sunday 4pm ET

Hillary Clinton officially entered the 2016 presidential campaign last weekend. Reel America will feature two previous presidential campaign announcements:

· From 1964, Sen. Margaret Chase Smith (R-Maine), the first woman to serve in both the U.S. House and Senate

· From 1972, Rep. Shirley Chisholm (D-New York), the first African American U.S. congresswoman.
