American History TV's Reel America will air an NBC News Special Report - "Communist Saigon" - from May 26, 1975. It recounts the April 30 capture of South Vietnam's capital by North Vietnamese communist forces, and details events in the weeks following the end of the Vietnam War.

White House historian William Seale sits down with C-SPAN co-president Susan Swain for a conversation about the first ladies who have had the most impact on the executive mansion. This discussion - hosted for congressional spouses by the White House Historical Association - features, among others, first ladies Jacqueline Kennedy, Dolley Madison, Mary Lincoln, Edith Roosevelt, Ellen Wilson, Pat Nixon, Laura Bush and Michelle Obama. James Garfield served nine terms in the House of Representatives - and only 200 days as the 20th president of the United States before his assassination. He was shot on July 2, 1881 and died on September 19. Georgetown University International Relations professor Ralph Nurnberger discusses Garfield's wide-ranging intellect and the complicated set of circumstances that ended in his death.
