How has the Bush campaign characterized Kerry's position on Iraq? What events have taken place in the campaign thus far that lead Kerry to detail his position on this issue? In your opinion, how will the war in Iraq effect the outcome of the election?
  • Media literacy George W. Bush said Kerry was "twisting in the wind" on his Iraq policy. What evidence is there to either support or refute that claim in this clip and speech? How have the words "waffle" and "flip flop" been used in this campaign? Have they affected the public's perceptions of the candidates? your perceptions? Explain.
  • More ideas In the context of the war, define the role of commander in chief. How is that role different than that of a senator?
