  Study how ads for presidential candidates are put together, what themes they focus on, and how to analyze ads individually and as part of campaign strategy.  
  
CAMPAIGN CLIP OF THE DAY   Teach the latest campaign news and events with a 
daily 2-5 minute featured video clip.  Clips are paired with teaching ideas, and links to related news articles.

DEBATES  Learn about what takes place in the planning and staging of a political debate.  Preview the 2004 presidential debate with the 
Debate Watch resource.   You can also look at Historic Debates and see how they influenced the outcome of past elections.

CONVENTIONS  Use video clips and suggested questions to teach about how national conventions are planned.  Look at memorable moments in convention history, and anaylze convention speeches.  
     
ELECTION DAY     Students can make their own election day predictions with our analysis questions and fill out this Presidential election chart. Use our Senate and House race charts to track results on election day.   

ELECTORAL COLLEGE    C-SPAN in the Classroom offers teachers resources on the Electoral College.   Our web resources include flash cards and other items that help educators teach about the Electoral College.   
    
ISSUES  Take a look at how candidates are addressing the issues on the campaign trail. Use speeches and interviews to discuss the candidates' positions on the economy, education, homeland security, and the war in Iraq.
