Before Viewing C-SPAN Students will read information sheet, "Strongest Third Party Election Finishes of the Twentieth Century," and answer the following questions and share their answers with the class:

a. Which third party candidate won electoral votes? How many?
b. Which third party candidate may have "swung" the outcome of the election? Explain.

Split the class up into two or more groups. Each group will view a set of video clips and together answer questions regarding them. This information will then be shared briefly with the class. The questions are:

a. Identify the major idea(s) in each clip.
b. Identify ideas/information that are found in all three clips.
