Objectives
  • To effectively use video as a resource for historical information.
  • To apply definitions of presidential roles and duties to specific historical examples.
  • To analyze presidential actions and categorize them by the types of roles/duties each represent.
  • Before Viewing C-SPAN Video Clips Organize students in a computer lab where they will watch video clips or set up LCD projector to play clips on a monitor for all students to view together. Distribute worksheets.

    Review the directions for the Videoquest on the worksheet.


    While Viewing C-SPAN Video Clips
    Students will view video clips. For each clip, students must decide what presidential role/duty is being described. The students should annotate the clip under the "Example" column on their worksheet.
