The House is considering the joint resolution pursuant to the order of the House of July 17 that it be in order on July 18, 2001, or any day thereafter,to consider in the House, H.J.Res.50 , and that it be considered as read; that all points of order be waived; that it be debatable for 2 hours, equally divided and controlled, that pursuant to sections 152 and 153 of the Trade Act of 1974, the previous question be considered as ordered to final passage without intervening motion; and that these provisions of the Trade Act of 1974 shall not otherwise apply to any joint resolution disapproving the waiver authority with respect to the People's Republic of China for the remainder of the first session of the One hundred Seventh Congress. |
