		C-SPAN SPECIAL Rebuilding Iraq - 4 Part Series In June 2003, C-SPAN followed USAID Admin. Andrew Natsios as he toured Iraq. The special program we put togther aired over four nights in July. From August 11-14, we're airing an encore presentation - with new & updated footage.

C-SPAN traveled to Iraq with a delegation from the United States Agency for International Development, the lead U.S. agency involved in the reconstruction of post-war Iraq. Headed up by USAID Administrator Andrew Natsios, the group traveled the country to assess how U.S. government money is being spent on projects involved in the rebuild of Iraq's infrastructure as well as for humanitarian purposes. The week-long trip took us to sites in the south, central and northern parts of the country. The United States government has pledged an initial amount of over $2 billion for reconstruction efforts in Iraq to be spent in the next 18 months.
