In mid-October, the Supreme Court will hear the case of Fisher v. University of Texas, challenging the use of racial and ethnic preferences in college admissions.

The Century Foundation hosted a discussion on that case, as well as the future of college diversity, policy implications and a new report released today by Richard Kahlenberg, “A Better Affirmative Action.”

Participants in the discussion included: Ward Connerly of the American Civil Rights Institute, Lani Guinier of Harvard Law School, Richard Sander of UCLA School of Law, Richard D. Kahlenberg of The Century Foundation and Debo P. Adegbile of the NAACP Legal Defense and Educational Fund.

Sam Fulwood III of the Center for American Progress moderated the discussion.
