EBay CEO John Donahoe calls the current impasse in Washington over the budget deficit “enormously frustrating,” and encourages the President and Congress to consider a framework similar to the Simpson-Bowles plan.

At a discussion hosted by the Wall Street Journal, Donahoe focuses mostly on the future of EBay, describing efforts to take advantage of growth in mobile commerce. A former colleague of Mitt Romney’s at Bain & Company, Donahoe confessed that he supported President Obama in his bid for re-election, mostly because his wife is U.S. Ambassador to the U.N. Human Rights Council.
