Paul Volcker Debates Banking Standards in British Parliament

Paul Volcker, former Federal Reserve Chairman and architect of the Volcker Rule, testified before a joint British British Parliamentary Commission on banking standards.

He answered questions on the differences between the U.S. and U.K. banking systems along with questions that focused specifically on America’s recent experiences with regulatory reform.

The joint commission is made up of both members from the British House of Commons and House of Lords.
