Pentagon Holds Briefing from Afghanistan

Army Lt. Gen. James L. Terry, the deputy commander of U.S. Forces in Afghanistan, provides an update on current operations during a  briefing from Kabul.

Lt. Gen. Terry, who also heads the International Security Assistance Force Joint Command, spoke about the decision to suspend the training of Afghan Local Police recruits following a shooting that killed five American soldiers on Sunday. U.S. officials said the 16,000 member militia must be re-vetted for links to the Taliban before training will be resumed.
