President Obama returns to Iowa Saturday for campaign rallies in Urbandale and Sioux City. He also visited the state earlier in the week as part of his tour of college campuses.

Iowa is considered a swing state in November and both campaigns have made frequent visits to the state. President Obama travels to Colorado on Saturday night for a Sunday event, and on to Ohio for a Monday rally in advance of the Democratic National Convention, which begins Tuesday in Charlotte, N.C.

The White House announced Friday that he will take time out from campaigning on Monday for a side trip to view the hurricane damage in Louisiana. Republican Presidential Nominee canceled a scheduled appearance in Virginia on Friday for a similar trip. Hurricane Isaac hit the Louisiana coast just as the Republican National Convention was getting underway on Tuesday.
