President Obama toured New Orleans, Louisiana, and other communities nearby to inspect the aftermath of Hurricane Isaac. He visited Laplace in St. John the Baptist Parish where he spoke with homeowners and then made a press statement about local and federal efforts to help resident recover from unprecedented flooding as a result of the storm. He was accompanied by Gov. Bobbi Jindal (R), Sen. Mary Landrieu (D), New Orleans Mayor Mitch Landrieu (D) and state and federal officials.
