Transportation Research Board Holds Annual Meeting

John Horsley, executive director of the American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials, spoke at the Transportation Research Board's annual meeting on Wednesday.

He discussed the states' perspectives on trends and challenges for the U.S. transportation system during the Chairman's Luncheon, which also included the introduction of new Executive Committee members and the presentation of awards.

Horsley, who will retire from his position in February,also received the W. N. Carey, Jr., Distinguished Service Award for his support of the Transportation Research Board and national transportation research programs. 

Annual meeting attendees included: policy makers, administrators, practitioners, researchers and representatives of government, industry, and academic institutions.
