Washington Journal Looks at Battleground North Carolina

Washington, DC
Saturday, October 27, 2012

The Washington Journal continues it's ten day, ten state look at battleground states by taking a closer look at North Carolina, with its 15 electoral votes.

President Obama won North Carolina in 2008, the first Democrat to do so since Jimmy Carter in 1976. Recent polls show Mitt Romney with a small lead over the President. Charlotte, N.C., hosted the Democratic National Convention this year.

Over the course of the battleground states series, we will hear from top political reporters and analysts in top swing states and also talk to key partisans on both sides of the aisle. Among the issues we’ll explore: the political and economic landscape, updates on the presidential race and key Congressional contests, key issues impacting the state, what to watch for on election night and prospects for post-election litigation.
