Peter Barton Wilson is an American attorney and politician who served as the 36th governor of California from 1991 to 1999. A member of the Republican Party, he previously was a United States senator from California from 1983 to 1991 and the 29th mayor of San Diego from 1971 to 1983. Wikipedia*
