Members of Congress and Representatives of the National Organization for Women briefed reporters on legislation to extend the Violence of Women Act of 1994. The bill would reauthorize already existing programs under the 1994 act, and would create programs to address other problems, including campus security, violence in the workplace, the impact of spousal abuse on children, and other prevention programs. close
