This forum kicked off a two-day media briefing hosted by the W.E.B. DuBois Institute, the Kaiser Family Foundation and the Harvard AIDS Institute. The panelists pointed out that the leading cause of death for African-Americans between the ages of 25 and 44 is AIDS and that this fact is suppressed by some segments of the black community. The focus of discussion was ways to deal with this epidemic. After opening remarks, the panelists took questions from the audience. close
