Family Research Council President, Gary Bauer spoke about the importance of moral concerns in U.S. foreign policy. He said that the U.S. should use its power to promote freedom. He went on to highlight the interconnectedness of foreign and domestic policy and stated that foreign trade should not be the primary goal of diplomacy. He also said that former President Ronald Reagan stressed these objectives and criticized current foreign policy-makers who have forgotten these lessons. After his remarks, he took questions from the audience. close
