White House Senior Advisor Brian Deese and State Department Special Envoy for Climate Change Todd Stern discussed the United States submission of the Intended Nationally Determined Contribution (INDC) to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC). The submission comes after President Obama’s announcement in China last November that the U.S. would build on the historic progress already made to cut carbon pollution and protect public health by reducing emissions 26-28 percent below 2005 levels by 2025. close
