The U.S. Senate met and continued debate on H.R. 2676, which sought to amend the Internal Revenue Code of 1986 to restructure and reform the Internal Revenue Service. Senators debated and voted on a number of amendments to the bill before passing the final version of the legislation by a unanimous vote of 97 years. After the passage of H.R. 2676, Senators delivered additional speeches on a range of topics before finally adjourning until 9:30 am the following morning. close
