Senators heard testimony about U.S.-China relations. Mr. Roth testified about the Clinton administration’s “Engagement” policy, and the results of that policy, including the Chinese role in promoting peace on the Korean peninsula. Dr. Kapp and Mr. Lardy testified that the media tend to make unfounded allegations in the context of China, and that the U.S. should take a “moderate” view on relations toward China. close
